Is a major oil leak a major problem So i am wondering is it a need to fix thing or will it just leak oil very slowly because from what i can see it doesn’t leak. Well, any oil leak on a new car is absolutely unacceptable, and if a leak is “major”, it could cause you to operate the vehicle while the engine is dangerously low on oil.
If you think the engine is burning a quart of oil in a week, as opposed to leaking it out onto the ground, i would suggest trying restore, and if that doesn’t help, either rebuild or replace the engine, or buy a different car I put in a new oil pan myself not to long ago i didn’t tighten the bolts to tight i would think because i know that it can cause problems if over tight I have had good luck with restore in the past
